First of all my i congratulate them on the name, all to often the ratepayer is forgotten as the person that funds our councils and central government, and judging by the photo and description it looks a nice place to have a pint or six.
That is until you read this :
"The population of Filton is over 10,000 and Filton council
continue to fund a public house which is no longer viable.Is a council run pub
really what 10,000 Filton people need or want with 4 other pubs offering cheap food
and drink, within a few minutes walk"
So we have a council run pub that no-ones uses, that is "stuck in the 70s" and loses money.
There is a lesson in here somewhere ;)
